Well done!! That's fantastic, it's a shame there could only be one winner. Really looking forward to what the results are. I'm happy to forward on any production contacts/tips if you wish.
Thanks a lot guys - and yes any contacts or tips would definitely be welcome at this stage!

I know I'm probably barging in here, but I will say to make sure you feel that at the end of the day (in the recording) your vocals sound consistent and confident and that they truly stand out. It's amazing how one word that was sung tentatively in a song really stands out even in a final mix, and it can really sour the whole song. Make sure the vocals are sung with clarity and passion and heart. If you have 4 members in a band make sure they all stand out in the recording as instrumentalists and don't just sound like a backup band "going through the motions" and try to use inflections of their musical talent throughout the song rather than just towards the end of the song in a "solo" fashion. On an emotional scale make sure the highs of the song are never too high and the lows are never too low. But make sure there is enough musical emotion throughout the song to keep people's attention. To go back to vocals make sure that there is a certain thrust in your vocals so that they stand out as an emotional personality and don't end up sounding like they sunk in with the harmony of the music. If any of that makes sense, I hope it helps in some way. Congratulations on winning the Slice The Pie!

Thanks for the words of advice Matt, and for your support ....I certainly know where you're coming from and it's very much the approach we're wanting to take. We really want this album to stand out and we'll be taking all suggestions on board for when we get into the studio. Thanks again!
